“We think that if we fall out of our usual routine, everything is over; yet this is exactly when something new, something good begins. As long as there is life, there is happiness too.”
“The source of happiness is not outside us, but within us.”
“There are no stronger warriors than these two: patience and time; they are capable of everything.”

    /L. N. Tolsztoj – Háború és béke/

I consider the thoughts quoted above important because I often experience that a crisis can open the way to something new that otherwise could not have come into being. I also see this reflected in my own life experience, as I have been living my life in a wheelchair following an accident that occurred when I was 15 years old. The power of patience and hope is shown most clearly when a difficult situation can actually become the beginning of a developmental process, allowing the loss endured to gain meaning. I believe that every person carries within themselves the potential for growth and renewal — they simply need time, attention, understanding, and safety for these possibilities to unfold.

I strive to support and accompany with empathy those who turn to me, helping them gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their emotions, relationships, and life situations. Through understanding their difficulties, they can recognize and mobilize their inner resources, their existing desire for change, opportunities for growth, and striving for a new balance. By viewing crisis as a turning point, they can find the direction that truly works for them.

For me, it is important to create a safe and accepting atmosphere where there is an opportunity to open up honestly, while maintaining one’s own pace and without rushing the process of change. In this way, the journey can truly remain the individual’s own path as they seek support and solutions — a path on which they have already taken the first and most important step simply by being here.

In my work, I represent an integrative approach: I draw from various psychological perspectives (analytic, cognitive, person-centered, schema-focused, and relationship-pattern-oriented approaches), always adapting them to the individual and their life situation. I believe that tailoring the techniques and methods used in the counseling process to the individual is essential (while adhering to appropriate professional competencies). During our collaborative work, we find together those directions that best support the desired change. A holistic perspective and systems thinking provide greater flexibility for finding complex solutions.
