Parent-child consultation and parenting counselling
During the child consultation, the focus is always on the child’s/adolescent’s problems and symptoms, but to achieve sustainable solutions, not only individual discussions with the child/adolescent are needed, but also consultation sessions with parents. In psychological counselling we help you to find the best solution for your family’s problems, based on the principles of developmental psychology. Parenting counselling, on the other hand, is a consultation process specifically designed for parents, to help them with issues related to their child’s development and challenging parenting situations. In child psychology and parenting counselling, it depends primarily on the age of the child whether the parents, the young person or both are present, but the discussion always focuses on the child’s problem.

Feedback – our clients’ experiences with our colleagues
“As a single mother raising my children, I faced many challenges and often felt insecure and clueless, but the parenting counselling has brought real progress in my role as a parent. The psychologist helped me to understand the background of my children’s behaviour and taught me effective communication methods that helped me to deal with difficult situations. I am now more confident in dealing with parenting challenges and closer to my children than ever before.”
“The parenting counselling process has given us tools and strategies to deal with parenting situations more effectively. The psychologist helped us find the balance between firmness and empathy, and taught us methods to create a supportive and loving environment for our child, with boundaries. We are very grateful for the help we have received!”
“After divorcing my wife, I sought the help of a psychologist for my teenage son. I was very afraid that the tensions and damage between us would affect his future, his personality development and destroy his further education opportunities. Fortunately, my son was open to me finding a psychologist for him. He is still attending sessions, but I see him much more balanced and cheerful now and more motivated in his school work. I myself am much calmer that he is obviously in good hands.”
